Denial of existence of Palestinians

The denial of the existence of the Palestinian people has a long history. It seems to have its origin in the phrase, “A land without a people for a people without a land,” which was coined in the early 19th century and later popularized by Israel Zangwill (before he recanted). Equally famous is Golda Meir’s declaration in 1969: “There was no such thing as Palestinians. When was there an independent Palestinian people with a Palestinian state?” Similar statements have been made by others. Just last year, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said, “There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation. There is no Palestinian history. There is no Palestinian language.” Other arguments, largely based on nomenclature, are made from time to time. I don’t think anyone takes them seriously - with the exception of Zionists, of course. - from Quora, 28.07.24

Japanese invasion plan

The Japanese did have a plan, or plans, to invade Australasia in the early days of the war, but shelved it/them. When I was at The Japan Times in the early 1960s, I worked with a guy called Takahashi who was to have been one of the civilian administrators. He told me he had been in charge of the banknotes - the “Mickey Mouse money” - that were to have replaced the local currencies. Later, after I came to New Zealand, I saw one of these banknotes at an exhibition. It looked exactly the same as the old pound note, except that it bore the following message: “The Bank of Japan promises to pay the bearer on demand the sum of one pound”. Incidentally, Takahashi had been a Kempeitai (Gestapo) informer, and had informed on one of his fellow workers at The Japan Times . But 22 years later, when I arrived at the Times, the two were, incredibly, still sitting side-by-side! - From Quora, 19.03.24

Covid had little effect

Almost from the start, I didn’t take Covid seriously. I happily socialized, I never had myself tested, and I ignored all demands I be “vaccinated”. And guess what? Covid had almost no effect on me, despite the fact I am over 80 and supposedly in the most vulnerable age group. Likewise, Covid had little or no effect on the other members of my family. But no one should be surprised by this. Since March 19, 2020, Covid has not been classified as a “high-consequence infectious disease” by the British Government. And since March 26, 2020, we have known, thanks to an article coauthored by Dr Anthony Fauci in the New England Journal of Medicine , that Covid’s “overall clinical consequences … may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza”. - Quora, 19.03.24

Japan's surrender decision

Actually, the “Japanese high command”, i.e. the Japanese Government, was divided over what to do. Eventually, Prime Minister Kantaro Suzuki, the leader of the “peace faction”, broke the deadlock by appealing to the Emperor for a decision. This was opposed by War Minister Korechika Anami, who begged the Emperor to reconsider. The Emperor did not reply, and effectively ended the argument by walking out of the subterranean bunker where the cabinet meeting was held. Anami later committed suicide. - From Quora, 22.03.24

Conflict in Syria ~ from 2016

"The conflict in Syria has been described as not merely a civil war but 'one theatre in a dangerous regional struggle'," North & South states on Page 51 of its current issue. I suggest that the war is more accurately described as a US-NATO attack on Syria, using (allegedly "moderate") terrorist groups as proxy forces (and roughly following the modus operandi established in Libya in 2011 during the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime). As Wikileaks has revealed, the United States has been actively scheming to destabilize Syria since 2006. (See https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/06DAMASCUS5399_a.html) Washington's antipathy to the Syrian regime stems from the fact that Syria is the last remaining advocate for a secular, progressive, Arab nationalist-governed Middle East and the linchpin of the "arc of resistance" to US-Israeli hegemony. Notably, Syria rejected plans for a Qatar-Saudi-Syria-Turkey-EU gas pipeline in favor of an Iran-Iraq-Syria pip...

Zionists at Quora

They (Zionists) seem to have congregated here at Quora. I haven’t found them anywhere else in such numbers. Something else I have noticed is that their talking points, arguments, memes, jokes, etc., never change. Basically, these are still the same as they were 30 to 40 years ago. For instance, you find the same obsessive focus on pigs and virgins. - From Quora, 19.07.24
